Certified EHR Program - Avoid CMS Penalties

The Meaningful Use EHR program was designed to move doctors towards improved healthcare and sharing of clinical information.  CMS imposes a penalty on doctors who see Medicare patients and are not participating and meeting Meaningful Use. 

ChiroWrite is a 2014 certified system that meets the requirements of "Meaningful Use".

Additional Costs: ChiroWrite is licensed by provider.  Initial license fee covers 1 doctor.  Additional doctors are licensed separately.  Yearly maintenance is paid based on number of providers.  EMR Direct and Dr. First are additional costs.  Dr. First yearly fee is included with ChiroWrite yearly maintenance.  EMR Direct is collected separately.  Although not required for Meaningful Use, ChiroWrite also had modules for scheduling and patient check-in.

Known Limitations: ChiroWrite is a server based application meaning the data is stored in your office.  Interfaces with EMR Direct and Dr. First are dependent on internet connectivity.  If the internet is down in the doctor's office then these interfaces will not work until internet connectivity is restored.  All costs related to maintenance and EMR Direct are required to maintain a certified system.


Installation Options

ChiroWrite is installed in the following configurations:

Stand Alone - The system is installed on a single Tablet PC or desktop. Other computers in the office do not have access to the system or the data.

Networked Single Doctor - The system is installed in a network environment. All computers in the office can have the system installed and employees granted access to the system as necessary.

Networked Multi Doctor - Same as Networked Single Doctor except that there are multiple doctors in the same office with access to the system.

Multiple Locations - Multiple locations are supported for either a single doctor or multiple doctors over an existing WAN (wide area network).
