Share The Wealth – Have you created phrases for your system?  Did you know you can share your phrases with the rest of the ChiroWrite community?  Phrases are easily shared from the Administration > WorxPhrase menu.  Simply click on the phrase and click the “Share Selected” button.  Sharing phrases will allow other DC’s to download your phrases into their ChiroWrite system and you can download phrases that have been shared by other DC’s.  We hope every DC will take advantage of the opportunity to help a colleague and share what they have created.  If you would like to share but are not certain how, please contact us and we will help you get started.

Scheduler Module

The scheduler module was created to accommodate offices that are cash based or do outsourced billing. Over the last 2-3 years, we have seen more offices moving to accepting cash only or outsourcing their billing to an expert billing company. These types of offices needed a way to schedule patients however they do not require a full billing system. The scheduling module gives these types of offices the ability to schedule patients, produce patient receipts, and generate management style reports. The scheduler module can handle multiple providers, text/email reminders, rescheduling needs, process miscellaneous purchases, and customize many aspects of scheduling needs. Call the office at 800.642.6082 for additional information or to schedule a demo.

Print Range to include SOAP/Exam – Functionality has been enhanced to allow the user to print all notes at one time. Some configuration needs to take place to ensure the user doesn’t receive errors; this can be accomplished by navigating to Administration > Visit Reasons. Be sure that each visit type has a workflow and a type associated with it. If you are editing and select a visit type of exam, be sure you select this type as an initial exam, re-exam or final exam so the reports will reflect that when they are printing.

Once everything has been configured, the user will be able to successfully run all the notes for a single case for one patient. The range must be selected and the dates for which the report should be run, select print all in either detailed style or paragraph style and click run.

Customize Orthopedic Screens – By popular demand, we have updated ChiroWrite to allow users to select the orthopedic tests they would like to see on the screen versus seeing all orthopedic tests we have in ChiroWrite. Configuration can be completed by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Orthopedic Tests and un-checking the boxes for specific tests you would not like to see on your orthopedic screens. You can also use the up and down arrows to re-order tests just the way you like them. Also be sure to navigate to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Global 4 Tab and check the box to Enable Configuration of Orthopedic Tests. Be sure to exit ChiroWrite completely so changes will take effect.

History Tab Additions – ChiroWrite now has the ability to include objective, assessment, and plan to the history tab. From this section, you also now have the ability to quickly print this information as well. Style determines if the information will print in rows or columns.

Print BMI, Medications, and Medication Allergies – ChiroWrite has been updated to print the BMI in the physical examination section of the initial exam, re-exam and final exam reports. Users can choose to print updated medications and medication allergies on the SOAP notes or the Narratives or both. Configuration can be completed by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Printing 2 Tab to make your selections.

Exam Print Options – ChiroWrite has been updated to allow the user to configure if they do not want the medical history, social history or accident description to print as part of their re-exam note or final exam note. Configuration can be found by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Printing 2 Tab and making the appropriate selections.

Report Writer – Functionality has been added to allow users the ability to create their own reports. Start creating your own today by navigating to Office Activities > Custom Reports. Users can now search for all the patients with a particular birth date, they can search for patients without visits in the last 3 months and they can generate additional lists of patients for multiple office needs. The custom reports do have the ability to be saved for later retrieval. For additional questions contact us at 800.642.6082.

Kiosk in Spanish – Please contact the ChiroWrite Office at 800.642.6082 for exact configuration. The patient check-in module has recently been updated to allow the kiosk to be operated in Spanish. If you are using the kiosk, you can configure this by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Kiosk Settings > Misc Tab and select Enable Language Select at Main Screen. You can also choose where you want the button to change languages to show up. Clicking the Lang button will allow the user to create customizable welcome messages and instructions in Spanish. Users may also want to make changes to the outcome assessment configuration area so the questionnaires can be viewed in Spanish too. This can be completed by navigating to Administration > Outcome Assessments > Choose the Outcome Assessment you wish to edit > click the Lang Button to make changes to that specific area.

Kiosk to allow Outcomes without Subjective – The patient check-in module has been updated to allow a patient to check-in without having to complete the subjective information, but still allowing them to complete outcome assessments. Setup can be found by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Kiosk Settings and be sure to check the box to include outcome assessments as part of the sign-in only options. Choosing the outcome assessment for the patient to take, needs to be configured through the patient’s case information. When you have chosen a patient, click on the Doctor’s Bag and edit the case, then head to the kiosk tab and configure accordingly.

Form Signing in the Kiosk – Functionality has been added to the patient check-in module to allow forms to be electronically signed. Using a Topaz signature pad, this could be ABN forms, consent forms or any additional forms that you need patients to sign. Keep in mind that your form needs to be a PDF fillable form. If you need the form to be converted by our ChiroWrite staff, this can be accomplished at $75 per form and up depending on complexity. Setup begins by navigating to Administration > System Configuration > Kiosk Forms in order to setup form groups and forms that are associated with specific groups. Kiosk settings also have to be in order to get this going, navigate to Administration > System Configuration > Kiosk Settings > check the enable kiosk form signing check box. Call Softworx Solutions at 800.642.6082 for additional information or setup questions.

Letter Changes – Functionality has been added to allow the user to omit the patient address from the letter and print the provider’s signature on the letter. This was done in an effort to make this piece of the system friendlier to our users and overall increase its practical uses in the future. When creating a template under Administration > Reports > Letters, be sure to check the boxes that apply to you when creating a template.

Copy and Paste Treatment Log – On the Today’s Treatment screen, users have the capability to copy and paste the treatments from one visit to another; that functionality has now been extended to the Exercise Log area. Users can now copy the Exercise Log from one visit to another. This can be accomplished by right clicking the area and selecting copy and then moving to the new visit and right clicking and selecting paste.

X-Ray Findings Error Check – The X-Ray Assist area has been improved to assist doctors in making sure they have checked all the right boxes for the system to completely create the sentences needed to describe what is going on. For instance, in the past, if a doctor wanted to describe lordosis of the lumbar they would click lordosis, but they would find out that information regarding lordosis would not print in the X-Findings area. So ChiroWrite has created an error checking feature to assist doctors in making sure they choose what they need. In the image below, it can be seen that the doctor just chose lordosis and didn’t choose whether it was increased or decreased or what the intensity was from the drop down. After choosing those items, the user will be allowed to save all changes.

Custom Button Editing Option – The custom buttons have been updated to allow an edit feature. If you have selected a button in the past and you are creating a new note, the button will show up yellow as having been checked. Doctors wanted a way to edit the button to add more information rather than start from scratch. So ChiroWrite has been updated to allow a right click and edit option on all custom buttons.

Default Highlighter Color – ChiroWrite previously allowed the user to default the pen color they were using to draw on the body images and spinal images. This functionality has now been extended to allow the user to default the highlighter color as well. Setup can be done by heading to Administration > System Configuration > Defaults > Misc. Tab > and change the pen and highlighter defaults.

Education with 3DRx – ChiroWrite has forged a relationship with 3DRx.  3DRx provides animations of common conditions as well as rehab exercises to allow providers to educate their patients. A subscription to the content will need to be purchased through 3DRx, but ChiroWrite has negotiated a 30 day FREE trial on your behalf.  To start using 3DRx, setup in ChiroWrite is as follows: navigate to Administration > System Configuration > Vendors and the office, provider, and vendor must be chosen in addition to creating a user name, password and enter the user’s email address.  Access to 3DRx will be found under the Patient Activities > Education.

Add Status to Providers – A status field has now been added to the provider area to easily make providers that leave an office inactive. This can be done by navigating to Administration > Providers > Clicking on the name of the provider you wish to edit and clicking the edit button. At the bottom of the screen, there is a status drop box that the user can choose the inactive status.
