Eclipse users now have the ability to use the Eclipse scheduler to check
in patients and have them automatically checked into ChiroWrite. To turn this
feature on, go to Eclipse. Select File > Utilities > Configuration >
System or Workstation, depending on how your system is setup. Enter your
administrative password and you will see the screen shown below.
Select the Import/Export/Email tab and make sure that DDE: Export
arrived/completed appointment data is checked as well as DDE: Suppress
DDE broadcast messages during export (alternates substituted). Click ok to
complete the setup for the Eclipse portion.
In ChiroWrite, you must make sure your system is setup to listen for new
updates for this function to work correctly. This should most likely be done on
the ChiroWrite server computer. ChiroWrite should only be listening on ONE
computer. To check this, go to Help > Update Configuration and in the third
box, make sure that it says Eclipse. If not, and ChiroWrite is not set
to listening on any other computer, select Eclipse from the drop down
box and click Update Config to save your changes, then click close.
Now, go to File > Import > Eclipse and make sure that Listen for
Eclipse Updates is checked off. If it is not, select it. The Listen for
Eclipse Updates should only be checked on one computer for Eclipse
and ChiroWrite to communicate correctly.
Now, go to Administration > System Configuration > Import/Export
> Eclipse. Make sure that Enable Eclipse Integration is checked and automatically
listen for new Eclipse patients is unchecked. Next, make sure the path
location is set to your MPN file for Eclipse. Click on the file
folder to find the MPN folder. The All Patients File Name
should be PATIENTS.EXP. The New Patients File Name should be PATIENTMOD.EXP.
The Export Billing File Name should be CHARGES2.IMP. The system should
be set to import every 15 seconds. Also make sure that Import by Case
and Use Alternative communications are also checked. Save your
changes and close. Close out of the entire ChiroWrite system for all changes to
take effect and upon login you should be ready to begin checking in patients
between Eclipse and ChiroWrite.
