·
Patient
Complaints Assistor – The system
now allows you to define patient complaints.
A new window has been added to the beginning of the Exam (Standard
Template) workflow. By clicking on the “Complaints
Assist” button, you will be taken to a new window with a picture of a body
front and back where you can click on a body part and give descriptors such as
pain level, frequency, onset, radiating, what makes it better or worse. These complaints, once built, will flow over
into the SOAP subjective/assessment and now you will do Better/Same/Worse on
the specific complaints.
·
Medical
History Assistor – A button has
been added to the History tab on the Edit Case window. This button takes you to a new screen that allows
you to define medical/family/social history for the patient. When you exit from the workflow, the options
selected will form a paragraph describing the patient’s history. Social history will not show up here, but in
the Narrative itself.
·
Accident
Assistor – A button has been
added to the Accident tab on the Edit Case window. This button takes you to some new screens that
allow you to describe an auto accident by clicking on various options. When you exit from the workflow, the options
selected will form a paragraph describing the accident.
·
X-Ray Assistor
– A button, “XRay
Assist”, has been added to the X-Ray Findings screen. This new screen allows you to point and click
various options to generate X-Ray findings.
·
Narrative
Introduction – The existing
Narrative reports do not have any opening sentence/paragraph. A new window, Narrative Introduction, has
been added to the Exam (Standard Template) workflow. You can now indicate that you would like an
opening paragraph and either have the system generate it or use your own. Also on the Edit Case window is a new option
beside the accident date to indicate if this is a PI case or Workers Comp
case. This helps to determine what opening
sentence will print when you let the system generate it.
·
Prognosis
within Exam – A new screen,
Prognosis, has been added to the Exam (Standard Template) workflow. This new screen is to be used going forward
to record your prognosis for the patient.
The prognosis at the Case level is still there but will eventually be
removed. This enhancement allows you to
change the prognosis and not affect any prior prognosis/reports.
·
Copy Image
data from visit to visit – With this
release, you are able to copy the drawings that you make from visit to
visit. A new option has been added to
System Settings in the AdministrationàSystem ConfigurationàDefaults menu.
In prior releases, if you draw on the body image or the whole spine
image for example, that information did NOT copy to the next visit. By checking on the box now available, the
system will copy the drawing from visit to visit.
·
Patient
Intake Forms – Additional patient
intake forms have been added to the system.
These forms can be found in the menu Office ActivitiesàReports. The
new forms added are:
¨
Patient Complaints – Short
¨
Patient Complaints – Detailed
¨
Medical History
¨
Vehicle Accident
Please review these forms and see if you can make use of them in your
practice. They are very similar to the
new screens in the system and will help speed up data entry.
·
Accident Type
and Insurance Claim number on Case –
When editing the case, you can now define if this is a Personal Injury case or
a Workers Comp case. By defining this
new option, the system can automatically prepare an opening sentence for the
Narrative reports. The Claim # field
allows you to enter the insurance claim number and it will print on the SOAP
Notes and the Narratives.
·
Exam Type on
Visit Type – With this release, you
are able to define for a visit type that is an exam, what type of exam it
is. For example, most Quixote users have
a visit type defined as “New Patient”.
This would be set to Initial Examination. By defining this information, you will help
the system decide what type of opening sentence to use on the Narrative. If nothing is defined, then a generic
sentence will be used.
Release
1.2.5.0
Before we start…A call for help
with the next release. There
are some large enhancements in the next release and we are looking for about 5
volunteers to help test some new features.
Also, we would love some help in creating new verbiage for this new set
of enhancements, even if you are not one of the five volunteers. For example can you reword the following
patient complaints:
1. Lower Back
Intermittent lower back pain which
began on
2. Headaches
The patient is complaining of coronal headaches which
began on
This is the kind of help we are
looking for. Please call Roger at
800.642.6082 if you would like to participate in helping out and we will get
you setup.
Thanks, and now the enhancements in
this release.

in the Treatment Default field whenever wanted by clicking the arrow button
located in front of the details field on the Today’s Treatment screen.

limit the list. Then, go ahead and
highlight rows and move them using the Up and Down buttons. Only one row can be moved at a time.

only a Tablet PC could markup the images within ChiroWrite. With this release users who are on a standard
desktop PC or laptop will be able to use their mouse to markup the images.
·
SOAP
Treatment Screen - A new field has
been added to capture details of a treatment.
As you can see by the example, the field will allow you to provide
additional details on a treatment if desired.
These details will print in the notes behind the treatment in
brackets. See other screen shot. Note that the field allows you to use the WorxPhrase so you can predefine items to go into the
details field.
·
SOAP
Treatment screen – The treatment
area section has been enhanced by adding buttons Spine, Extremity and
Other. Clicking on "Spine"
will present the list of areas that were previously shown and
is the default. Clicking

·
Admin

has been updated to add the Category group box.
·
Added XRay Findings To WorxFlow - The XRay Findings data
field has been added to the Standard Template WorxFlow. This is where you would enter your XRay findings and they will print on your Exam Narrative.
·
Added Today’s
Treatment to WorxFlow - The Today's Treatment screen has been added into
the Standard Template WorxFlow. This will allow you to enter treatments for a
patient when an examination has been performed instead of going into the SOAP
flow. If you also wish these treatments
to print in the Exam Narrative, then check the "Print Today's Treatments
in Narrative Reports" on. This
window is found under Administration-->System Configuration-->Defaults.
·
Daily Living
Assessment Form - a
new form has been created that you can print out and give to your
patients to collect Daily Living Activities information. When the report is run, it will come up in
Microsoft Word. It will look strange at
first. Just click on the Self

photocopy front and back to have as few pieces of paper. This form can be found on the menu at Office
Activities-->Reports.

Reporting
Features - A new feature has been
added to the Reporting functionality so you can "Mark" a report as
having seen sent out of the office.
Simply click on the View Prior Reports button and highlight the report
that has been sent. Then click the
"Mark As Sent" button. The marked rows will highlight in
yellow. This feature provides a several
benefits. To start with, now you will be
able to determine what reports have been sent out and bring them up easily if
you need to view/print them again.
Another benefit is the fact that once marked,
the report is stored in the database and therefore backed up each night. Finally, since the report is stored in the
database, it is available to anyone on any machine to view, not just the
machine it was run from. You can also
delete reports by right clicking on the row and selecting delete from the menu
that appears. Also note that a new
column "Contains" will indicate the dates that this report contains
inside.
·
Plan Screen - There are a couple of changes to the Plan
screen. There is now a field
"Purpose Of Treatment". Here you would indicate what the purpose of
doing this treatment is. For example,
"to improve range of motion in the neck". Another new field is the "Overall Goals Of Treatment" which is found on the second tab. Of course, these new fields are optional.
